How to change your Blogger blog template.

 Blogger has numerous default blog templates for bloggers to choose from. For those bloggers who have a taste for more attractive templates, you can easily download custom blogger templates and upload to your blog. Some of these default blogger templates are not search engine optimized because, they were designed many years ago and were not updated thereafter. Search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing have updated their search algorithms many times and they are always updating to improve search results and users’ experience.

This is the more reason why, it is very imperative for bloggers to use  SEO friendly templates for their blogs. You can change the default template of your blog with any third party templates which can be purchased online or downloaded free of charge.

For this reason, I bring a simple tutorial to help newbie bloggers to learn how they can change their 
blogger template.

Change blogger template as follows:

You need to first of all, download your custom blogger template from the internet. You can find many sources of professional looking templates on the internet where you can get lots of them for free.  Go to Google and search for “Blogger Templates” and download a template of your choice. Once you have your template, follow the steps below to change your default template:

(i)  Log in to your Blogger account.

(ii)  Click on the drop down menu and choose Template.

(iii) Click on Backup/Restore button located at the top right corner.

(iv) You should first of all download your existing template as a backup in case something goes wrong, you can easily restore it. So, click on “Download full template” button.

(v) Now click on Choose File button and choose your new template which you want to apply to your blog.

(vi)  After selecting your template, simply click on Upload button for final step.

(vii)  Your new template is applied!
